31 Days of Seeking Joy in the EveryDay: Chalk it Up!

One of the things on my 2012 wish list was to make a chalk board.
Which I did.
But it didn't work out.
Hence no post, and no beautiful chalkboard art on my front porch to invite you to sit and stay a while.
Sigh.
Thank you, Pinterest, for being my chalkboard loving heart's happy place.

Can you consider a trip to IKEA a DIY?  I did drive myself, afterall ...
and picked up this cute little chalkboard easel.

And it's not only a chalkboard, the flip side is a white board ... all for only $15 ... be still my heart!

At first, I thought the height might be a downside, but it found its home in the TV room beside my chair, and it's actually the perfect height for writing while sitting down.  Or, if you're five years old :o)

Chalk pens eliminate the chalk dust issue and they're so much fun to use.

I got my white one } here { and the colored ones at HobbyLobby.

Chalkboards seem to bring out the creative streak in everyone.
I think we need at least one more :o)

Chalk this joy up to a virtually irresistible opportunity to be creative!

  1. OOOOOHHHHH! Chalk markers. I've never seen those! I already have the IKEA chalkboard, so now I just need those cool markers. And I agree. The chalkboard is a hit here too!
