One of the things on my 2012 wish list was to make a chalk board.
Which I did.
But it didn't work out.
Hence no post, and no beautiful chalkboard art on my front porch to invite you to sit and stay a while.
Sigh.

Can you consider a trip to IKEA a DIY? I did drive myself, afterall ...

And it's not only a chalkboard, the flip side is a white board ... all for only $15 ... be still my heart!
At first, I thought the height might be a downside, but it found its home in the TV room beside my chair, and it's actually the perfect height for writing while sitting down. Or, if you're five years old :o)
Chalk pens eliminate the chalk dust issue and they're so much fun to use.

Chalkboards seem to bring out the creative streak in everyone.
I think we need at least one more :o)

OOOOOHHHHH! Chalk markers. I've never seen those! I already have the IKEA chalkboard, so now I just need those cool markers. And I agree. The chalkboard is a hit here too!
