Church online ... it works for me!

Welcome to Day 7 of the 31 Days series It Works for Me!

I got started on breakfast a little bit late this morning.  So I went to church in my pajamas.

Think I'm kidding?

I'm not!

But it's okay, the church service was right here at home.

It's the internet version of televised services.  But the great thing about it is that it's real time, so even though you're not physically present, you're still part of what's going on right now.

LtDan and I make something yummy for breakfast, stir up the orange juice, brew the coffee and link the laptop to the TV.  Then we roust the teenagers out of bed, gather in the TV room, and log into the church service.  Our church site also offers a live chatbox, where you can discuss on the service in progress with others who are also online and watching ... so there's even a sense of community online.

We love connection to the local church from right here at home.
We love the low pressure Sunday mornings.
We especially love the intimate and instant discussions with our kids that might not occur otherwise.
We love remembering that although we're family living together within these walls, we're also the Body of Christ ... living together within these walls.

Has it been a while since you've been to church?  Do you maybe feel awkward venturing into a church building?  Maybe there are hurts from your past that make it difficult for you to go.  Maybe there's not a local church where you feel you fit.   Maybe you're not able to go because you're ill, or your kids are sick.

Try a church online ... it works for me!
